What you are telling us

When you place an order you confirm two things: that the design is yours to manufacture, and that what we make will not be used for anything unlawful.

The first one is about rights, not authorship. You do not have to have drawn it — plenty of good prints start as somebody else’s model — but you do need permission to have it made, whether that is because you own it, it was licensed to you, or it was published for exactly this.

What we will not make

The second one has a list behind it. We do not manufacture:

• Weapons, their components, or anything designed to be assembled into one.
• Things made to deceive. Official seals and stamps, identity documents, currency, tax or registration marks, and parts whose purpose is to pass as something they are not.
• Things made to impersonate. A person, a company, a public body or their marks, where the object exists to be mistaken for the real one.
• Keys, tools and fittings for getting into places or things that are not yours — locks, access cards, security fixings and their bypasses.
• Work that infringes somebody else’s design, trade mark or copyright.
• Anything otherwise unlawful where it is going, or where we are.

Some of these are legitimate in the right hands — a locksmith’s tool, a replica prop, a company’s own stamp. If yours is one of those, say so when you order and we will ask what we need to.

Paying is not permission

We may review any order before we make it, ask you for evidence of your right to have it made, and decline or cancel it. That is true after payment as well as before.

This is the part worth being plain about: paying never authorised production. Your money is taken so the job can be scheduled; the decision to manufacture is ours and it is separate. Ticking the box at checkout records that you told us what this is — it does not mean we agreed to make it.

If we decide we should not make something, you are refunded in full, whatever stage the order has reached. That is set out in the returns and refunds policy.

What we keep

Your acceptance is recorded against the order with the version of this page you were shown and the moment you accepted it, along with anything you told us about what the object is for. It is kept so that both of us can answer, later, what was actually agreed.
